At 1:26pm on April 7, 2011, Kelley Brinkman said…: i am in desperate need of new strings myself. the strings on my electric are probably getting close to half a decade old. whoops. i should probably get a tetanus shot from playin' this thing. ;) if i were to send audio, it'd have to be via e-mail. my cell phone is not particularly advanced. i'd have to record it on my computer in Audacity through a RockBand mic. i suppose i could borrow my brother's cable so i wouldn't have to record it through a mic...and he also has Sony Soundforge and Acid (which are far better programs than Audacity)...but i will probably just resort to my ghetto ways. haha. i'll text you if i record anything. and you do the same, please! i'd like to hear your playing too.

I guess I was looking forward to more of a surprise, but I'm fairly certain I'll be very pleasantly surprised with the rest of the album. But I kept listening to it...over...and over...and over...and over (etc). I liked it more each time. It has its unexpected parts (I love the bridge). I sang it on the top of my lungs (repeatedly too...and my neighbors could probably hear) when I was home alone today. Oh...and as far as "Surface to Air" goes...god, I love those lyrics.

I'm a pretty shy person, but when it comes to Incubus...good lord...you probably wouldn't be able to get me to shut up. Haha.

We've probably bumped into each other at a show. Maybe even literally! It's nice to know SOMEONE in this state listens to good music. I hear a lot of auto-tuned chaos blaring from car stereos. ;)
