Hey guys, Mike (the guy who plays guitar) here...
I'm writing this from Widener Library at Harvard right now....Don't worry, I'm just here visiting with my professors/friends, and I'm not going to be taking classes anytime soon!
So the guys and I have been talking about ways of sharing some new music with you, our fans, without pissing off our record label, and the idea of releasing a SCORE of a new song has been floating around. Seems like a good idea to me....The coolest part is that it would enable everyone to play/record their own versions of the song before ever hearing our version. And because it's a score, it's open to a certain amount of musical interpretation! Ah, the true beauty of music! The ability of each individual performer to make a certain piece of music her/his own by playing it in whatever way she/he is feeling it! Personally, I'd love to see how different people would interpret the score of an Incubus song....it would certainly force people to learn how to read the music. "Incubus, promoting higher standards in musica education!" I love it....Stay tuned. Ren will fill in the rest. See you guys very soon enough...
