I was just getting ready to bang out this week's Update #6 when I saw this in my HQ Inbox. Another tidy update from our friend Lauren Clay. I feel a little guilty being so lazy but it would have taken me an hour to come up with something and it probably wouldn't have turned out so nice. My grandmother used to always say "don't kick a gift horse in the mouth" so I wont. Here's the weekly update courtesy of our Official HQ Reporter Lauren Clay. Enjoy.
The secret is out. Our little Incubus family is no longer little! With links to the Incubus World Headquarters appearing on Facebook and across the web, the membership here at HQ has exploded from 7500 Incubus fans to almost 14,000. The site grows even more every day, introducing eager, fresh-faced and like-minded people to the central hub of Incubus activity. As always, the Headquarters strives to be a place where all Incubus fans can come together from across the globe and feel free and comfortable to share their love for the band that brought them here.
On Monday, the formal details of Incubus’ scheduled appearances at the Hurricane and Southside festivals in Germany were released. Incubus is taking the place of Blink-182 on the roster of both festivals and will be playing both June 18th and 19th alongside bands such as the Foo Fighters, Arcade Fire and My Chemical Romance. More details about the German festivals can be found on the festival websites (http://www.hurricane.de/ and http://www.southside.de/)
Tuesday saw Mike Einziger sharing with fans his work on the score of a film called God Bless Ozzy Osbourne which will be showing at this year’s Tribeca Film Festival. The film screens on the 24th, 28th, and 30th of April and tickets to the screenings, if they are still available, can be bought at the Tribeca site. Incubus’ ties to the Osbournes run deep and Mike hopes that fans in the area can catch the film even if they miss him at the first screening. (http://www.tribecafilm.com/)
Tuesday also heralded some spring cleaning for www.enjoyincubus.com, unveiling a new website design that moved away from the ‘Monuments and Melodies’ theme to bring the site in line with the style of the ‘Adolescents’ single art. In concert with this, the Adolescents single was released for purchase on iTunes in the United States market separate from the Album Preorder. While the Incubus team was hard at work redesigning the official site and releasing the single for mass consumption, preliminary tests began at Incubus World HQ to trial the video chat software Vokle, which may replace Skype as the modus operandi for video chats in the future.
More secrets came into the light on Wednesday when it was revealed that the president of Incubus’ Chilean fan club and long-term Incubus fan Francisco Stiglich had been flown out to Los Angeles from Chile on the previous Saturday to spend a week interning for Ren Management and the band. Francisco showed the devotion and diligence of Incubus fans around the world by proving to be the best intern the band has ever taken on, although on Saturday he sadly bid Los Angeles farewell to return to Chile. Francisco’s heroic efforts in the name of Incubus can be seen in an interview with local Los Angeles radio station 98.7FM and also in other sundry videos around the site. (http://incubushq.com/profiles/blogs/incubus-heroes, http://incubushq.com/video/theres-no-business-like-show, http://incubushq.com/video/franciscos-fantastic-adventure) His dedication is enormous and his resolve immense. Thank you, Francisco.
Friday, whilest the band journeyed to Las Vegas for the Billboard Music Awards photo shoot, came with a belated present for ‘Incubus Day’; a video vingette hilighting the making of the Adolescents video. Brandon was kind enough to ‘smuggle’ us in through the back door and share some of his thoughts--as well as the thoughts of some of the crew members--on the video and the artistic vision inherent in it, and how it relates to the upcoming album If Now Now, When?. The full Adolescents video is scheduled to make its world premiere on Thursday, April 28th.
On Saturday, the contest to create the banner for Jose Pasillas’ upcoming video chat got under way. Entries can be found here: http://incubushq.com/forum/topics/banner-competition-for-joses and the winning image will be used to promote the upcoming chat on the Incubus World Headquarters. The artist responsible for the winning image may also win a chance to video chat live with Mr. Pasillas himself, and ask everyone’s favorite drummer that question they’ve always been dying to know the answer to.
This week was a big one and they’re going to keep getting bigger. The pace is picking up as the band and the band’s team schedule more events across the world and carve larger and larger pieces out of their schedules. The continued support of fans in all countries of the world is what makes the rigorous work of a new album and a tour worthwhile, and so it is that the entire team would like to express their deepest and most heartfelt gratitude to each and every fan and supporter of the band. Thank you for strapping into the rollar coaster with us, we promise it will continue to be the ride of a lifetime.

Loving the new simplistic layout for enjoyincubus.com too but the blues at the foot of the page is a bit too bright (or is it just me? :p)
Everyday's updates are really sweet, yet it builds our excitement even more!
Everyone behind the IWHQ already knows this but I'll keep on saying it in case you get too tired and forget: YOU GUYS AND GALS ARE AWESOME! All of us Incubus fans are grateful. Thanks! :D
