TIME FOR FUN announced today that the Summer Break Festival in Rio de Janeiro on Dec. 8th will now take place at Citibank Hall (Av. Ayrton Senna, 3000 - Shopping Vila Parque - Barra da Tijuca).  The promoter has decided to move the festival due to technical issues.

In São Paulo, the festival takes place at Campo de Marte on Dec. 7th.

All tickets for Praça da Apoteose will be valid for Citibank Hall. There is no need to exchange tickets. Anyone who purchased tickets and cannot attend the concert at Citibank Hall should go to point of purchase to request a refund.  Details below.

The Summer Break Festival is a brand new summer music festival with a line-up that mixes great names of national and international music.  The headliner for both nights is North-American Dave Matthews Band, who will perform hits from their career together with songs from the new album, Away From The World, elected by Rolling Stone as one of the 50 best of 2012.  In addition, alternative rock from Incubus has a guaranteed space on the Festival’s stage, while reggae lovers will be able to get into the sound of SOJA.

The national representation in the Festival is very strong and led by one of the most respected band in music scene: O Rappa. Their performance is always very intense and makes the crowd jump with their big hits. Nem Liminha Ouviu and its 80s style rock come on stage to complete the line-up in São Paulo and Ponto de Equilíbrio in Rio de Janeiro. 

Tickets for the festival are available at official sales outlets (Sao Paulo – Credicard Hall/ Rio de Janeiro – Citibank Hall), internet (, by the phone (4003-5588), and box offices around the country. 

Anyone who purchased tickets and cannot attend the festival at Citibank Hall should visit their retail outlet beginning Fri, Nov 22 to request a refund.

Purchases made personally (box office or other retail outlet):

  • a. Return to the same location where the purchase was made;
  • b. Present the ticket;
  • c. If the purchase has been made ​​in cash or debit card, the repayment will occur through bank deposit;
  • d. For purchases made by credit card, the amount will be credited on the card bill used, in 20 days.

Purchases made ​​not personally (Internet and call-center):

  • a. Send an e-mail with the purchasing date to, subject "REFUND";
  • b. The amount paid will be credited to the card bill used, in 20 days.

The group is touring in support of its latest album, Away From The World, which Rolling Stone named as one of the Top 50 Albums of 2012. Produced by Steve Lillywhite, the record entered the Billboard 200 at No. 1, making Dave Matthews Band the first group in chart history to have six consecutive studio albums debut atop the chart.

Born in Charlottesville, Virginia, in 1991, by the singer Dave Matthews, the band is today constituted by drummer Carter Beauford, saxophonist Jeff Coffin, Bassist Stefan Lessard, guitarist Tim Reynolds, trumpet player Rashawn Ross, violinist Boyd Tinsley and its founder Dave Mathews on guitar and vocals.

INCUBUS was born in late 90’s, when Brandon Boyd, Mike Einziger and Jose Pasillas met in high school in Calabasas, California. The band launched itself with the single Drive, reaching the top of Billboard charts.

In addition to this hit, the album Make Yourself, released in 1999, also achieved success with Pardon Me and Stellar. Two years earlier, the EP Enjoy Incubus and the album S.C.I.E.N.C.E. helped take the band to the forefront of the growing rock circuit by opening concerts for Korn and Primus. 
In 2011, the band released its 7th album If Not Now, When?, after a five years hiatus. The upcoming shows are the third time that Brandon Boyd (vocals), Michael Einziger (guitar), Jose Pasillas (drums), Ben Kenney (bass), and Chris Kilmore (DJ and piano), collectively INCUBUS, will perform in Brazil.
