And Incubus wants to see how much New York loves them. If you are in New York, or if you can get to New York, this is your chance to win tickets to an exclusive engagement in early July. You and a lucky friend could win tickets to experience Incubus live at one of these invite-only events:

  • Private Incubus concert hosted by Vevo, or
  • Private concert after Incubus’ appearance on the Late Show with David Letterman

To enter, show Incubus your love! Take a picture of yourself holding an Incubus fan sign in front of a building or location that makes you think of the band.

Post your picture on Incubus World Headquarters by uploading it into Media.

Add a short explanation of why the place is "Incu-special", and tag your entry with the “incubuslovesnyc” tag. The best submissions will be selected to win a pair of tickets to either the private Vevo concert (July 8, 2011) or the private concert after the Late Show (July 11, 2011).

You only have until the end of day June 28, 2011, so start coordinating that photoshoot.

Since access to these events is super limited, specific show prizing will be determined at management’s discretion. To increase your chances of getting into the show of your choice, share your pic on Twitter, Facebook, and your blog. Fans from all over the world are welcome to participate in this contest, but the focus will be on the Tri-State area. Contestants must be willing and able to travel to New York City on short notice.

Comment on this blog entry with a link to your picture, invite your friends to HQ and encourage them to rate your photo, and good luck!

Well this is in hopes that 1. it counts and 2. that I makes the deadline... 2001 was defined by many reasons, one of them being Incubus.  When the world didn't make much sense they pretty much helped me found peace and that my friends is completely priceless.  They played a show at Hammerstein Ballroom on 9/15 & 9/16 to which I was fortunate to attend, both!  All I can say is that that crowd was completely insane, I mean I got my ass kicked hard but it was great! The emotions that filled that room was just unbelievable!  It will always be an experience I hold extremely close to my soul.

This is a picture of the show on 9/16, the show I didn't get my ass kicked as much... I still have the ticket of that show as you can see.  I can't believe it will be 10yrs!

Just a glimpse into my Incubus sanctuary.....

This is a small beach in my town where I used to go to the sunset with my best friend almost every night.  Make Yourself never left my stereo (Science never left hers).  She moved to SC about 6 years ago so when I am missing her I turn on the Incubus and drive to the beach.  So many great memories made from listening to Incubus and watching the sunset.  When my boyfriend of 7 years and I broke up she bought my tickets the Incubus show @ Radio City.....she knew exactly how to cheer me up!  And you guys definitely did NOT disappoint.  I love seeing Incubus live and I couldn't even imagine a private would be such a dream come true.  Incubus has always been there for me, the music is incredible!!  Thanks guys and keep the amazing music coming!!  And thank you for the opportunity to compete for's much appreciated  xoxo

This is my second entry to Incubus loves NYC! I'm from Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia and am traveling through NYC this month. I am sad that i was going to miss them live in Kuala Lumpur later in the month and am hoping to be able to catch them live in NYC! Been listening to them since 97' and have appreciated every moment of their journey through sound and space. Caught them live 3 times in Malaysia and Singapore and am the proud owner of several of Brandon's lithographs and books as well as music from each band member's individual projects. Thanks for the music!

I was born in NYC and raised there for a little while until I had to move to Delaware with my parents.  I am a city girl at hear, but at least they chose a place with great beaches, which is were I spend most of the summer each year.  I love Incubus and the first thing I must listen to when I get to the beach is "Wish You Were Here" as I literally dig my toes into the sand.  Luckily as well, I can easily go to NYC which I must do every year because it really is where my heart is.  I've been listening to Incubus since college and had the chance to see them last year for the first time in Philly, but I would just die to see them at one of the NYC parties.  That would combine two of my loves.  I would also take my mom, another loyal Incubus fan, because she has yet to see them and we made a promise since she developed a pretty bad clotting disorders(APS) several years ago that we would see all of our favorites live.  Seeing Brandon and the guys in our hometown would make her day as well.

Here is a better picture since my first one came out blurry, hope it can still count!!:

My entry for the Incubus loves NY competition.. I will totally take a two hour bus ride any day to see Incubus! Philly is incu-special because we are the home of Rocky, Betsy Ross, Ben Franklin, and for 6 years Edgar Allen Poe. We also have the most delicious soft pretzels, tasty cakes, vegetarian and vegan food, or if you love meat, the cheesesteak wit or witout. There is something for everyone here, especially the incubus crew! Not to mention the best fans!
My sign is based off of the VisitPhilly campaign, and it says:
Dear Incubus,
I love you. With love, Rocky, Betsy, Ben, Edgar Allen, but most of all CherylCrowLeftOfTheMurder.
My picture came out blurry because I was hassled by tourists, but one of the Philly tour bus drivers kept taking pictures of me, the sign, and chuck on Rocky saying "I don't know what this Incubus is all about or that guy on Rocky, but I'm taking pictures!!" it was so funny.

Alrighty so I heard about this contest a tad bit late, but it's because I now live in New York city, one of the best, most amazing cities in the world. I'm quite the busy bee now with very little time to spare, but when it comes to Incubus, my fave band since I was 12, everything else seems trivial... there isn't a crowded enough subway, a busy street, or a bridge I can't climb to keep me from all the boys in the band. Speaking of bridges, this is the Manhattan bridge... well a snippet of it... And I decided to take my picture here because it represents the bridge I crossed in my life when I decided to move to nyc recently. It's been the most difficult, yet freeing experience of my life this far. I recall asking myself "If not now, when?" There was no better time then now. I dove in with both feet and promised to never look back. It's hard living in a fast-paced city like this with such a diverse mass of people where you're pretty much anonymous... yet there is something quite romantic and fascinating.

I'm broker than a joker but the happiest I've ever been. Incubus has inspired me in so many ways. I couldn't even begin to construe. They've been the only consistent band in my life and will always be. The music is like my best friend. Cornier than shit, but truth. Seeing Incubus live this year would be the load off I need and the icing on what has been described as my golden year. (turned 22 the 22nd of April) Give a gal a chance!

Thank you profoundly, Incubus, for making the soundtrack to my life and for making so many others feel equally I'm sure. Thanks to Rennie, the most incredible, hard-working manager in the world, because w/o his love and dedication none of this would be possible. And a very special thanks to my beautiful girl, Frankie for providing the paints and canvas for the sign I'm holding up!

Good luck everybody!

We love Incubus and we love NYC. On our last trip to the city it seemed that they were following us everywhere we went. We hope to see them "for real" next time. Ohio is only 8 short hours away...
