Today is a very special day for me. It's been months I have started working on my own music, writing tracks and lyrics with the hope to create an album. Several days ago, I decided to release today a first song off this album.

You can imagine how excited and how afraid I am…

Incubus should come to Puerto Rico.

I could state many reasons why this band should visit the island, but like any other Puerto Rican fan, they will probably be based on selfish desires. I am eighteen years old, soon to be nineteen, and although young  consider myself to be a devoted fan. I've never had the opportunity to see them live, given my current location, but if it were to ever arise, I would not miss it. This is just a reminder, although the the island… Continue

An Incubus Dream

There are so many stuffs goin on in my head right now as i reminisce. I don’t wanna caught in the rambles. Before i begin, I would like to say this officially to Incubus cos it has never been told. Until i shook their hands, my ephemeral since 1998 needs to be justified. I held my horses long, let go, now with the halter. I must thank you for finding that tiny dot on the atlas in 2008.

The closest I get: When Brandon on stage pointing…

TechCrunch interview with Brandon & Mike @ the SF MusicTech Conference

Last Monday Brandon, Mike, and Renman made a trip up to SF to appear at the MusicTech Conference. A great time was had by all, and luckily we will have some great content from the event.

Andrew Keen from TechCrunch had access to the guys for a few minutes and spoke with them about the "experience" economy, and how it feels to be kicked in the balls.

Unfortunately we're unable to embed the video here directly,…

About me

Maybe it's a bit selfish to do a post about me, but I felt it important to introduce myself.

Hello, my name is Miriam ... I have 24 years old and I'm editor of a musical magazine. I grew up listening to rock bands and my taste for them was growing with me. I met Incubus accidentally, and never paid much attention on it, but knowing people so passionate about this band made me consider again, to my surprise with a single and video excellent. Since then, I do some reviews about…

Posted this on facebook earlier. It's about music beginning to take off for me lately.

To every friend and loved one that I know,

There really is no way for me to express the sheer amount of gratitude that I have for all of you tonight, and for all of the love and support I have been blessed to receive within the past month. It started with simply asking friends to come to the May 13th show, and now it has become something rather extraordinary. You see,…

Improving Incubus impact in Chile

The videochat with Fernando Cabral (Marketing Director - Sony Music Latin America) was an increidble opportunity for us fans, and even though one of my questions were answered, I have so much more to say  about the impact of the band in my country. It's well known that Incubus is big here in Chile, various rock radio stations play their songs very often, their shows are sold out and they have one of the biggest fan bases in South America. They are recognized but only if asked I mean they are…

Chat Transcript for Fernando Cabral's Vidchat on 05/10

Q: What are your day to day responsibilities?

A: Usually at the marketing/exec for the region is basically in charge of campaigns of artists and releases and coordinating album releases throughout the region.  With time that has changed a little bit, the industry has been very challenged and it is very challenging in Latin America, I also have to develop partnerships with brands and opportunites that I did not have to do before, but at the basic level it is coordinating the release…

I have to vent---I love these guys!

I have to express my love for these guys. I was turned on to Incubus about 4 years ago by my fiancée. The first year, I listened to the “Light Grenades” CD about 95676348673 times. No joke! About 2 ½ years ago, I started at a new job and met Serena Torres, a long time Incubus fan. I told her that I had recently started listening to them and she had recommended a few albums for me to listen to. It was then that I figured out I liked, no scratch that,…

Day One: Worst day of my life

Today I told the man I love that I never want to see him again. It was the hardest thing that I have ever had to do. And it wasn't because something went wrong or that we weren't happy. We were happy. But because we did not see a future together. It is the strangest thing to love someone and know that you don't see yourself spending the rest of your lives together. I miss him terribly. He is the most important thing in my life. Part of me feels like it was the wrong decision, but then… Continue

Old Incubus

This past weekend, I bought Incubus' volume 2 DVD. I have never seen it yet until now and it just makes me wish I had discover their music a lot sooner. I wish I'd went to their past concerts because they look effing amazing. Their music sounded so different back then compared to how they sound today. I've loved this band when I first heard them in highschool and I still love them today. They will forever and always will be my favorite band of all time and one of the best bands in history.

What's your favourite Incubus song, and why?

It's hard to pick, I know!  I honestly am not sure what mine is, I want to get others opinions on it and then maybe I'll be able to pick one! haha
