Weekly Update #6 for Week of April 18th-24th
I was just getting ready to bang out this week's Update #6 when I saw this in my HQ Inbox. Another tidy update from our friend Lauren Clay. I feel a little guilty being so lazy but it would have taken me an hour to come up with something and it probably wouldn't have turned out so nice. My grandmother used to always say "don't kick a gift horse in the mouth" so I wont. Here's the weekly update courtesy of our Official HQ Reporter Lauren Clay.…

Short Story - The Weft
Let's see if you guys can guess what song sparked this off in my head. ;)
Of all the things Charles Surry had been called in his relatively young life, ‘observant’ had not come up often. Neither had ‘creative’, nor ‘imaginative’, nor any other word describing the softer, brighter aspects of human nature. He was a man of few colors, mostly brown and grey; he had brown hair, and brown eyes, and surprisingly brown skin for a man who saw the sun only in commuting, and…

Jose to make a Drumming DVD
Hey Guys
thinking that Jose should make an instructional drum dvd where he breaks down some parts and gives us an inside look at his drumming. I have been following Incubus from the start and have watch them all grow as musicians, especially Jose.
I think he is one of the most under rated drummers of our time and think he should get alot more recognition, ( like him playing at the Guitar center drum off last year)
Anyway if you feel the same, please add your…

How I got into incubus...
I was 17 when I first heard of them. The song was 'Drive' and it was everywhere, playing constantly on radio and on MTV. I liked the song, but I didn't love it. It didn't really hit me at first but I felt it was a decent song that was just being overplayed by a band I thought I'd probably never hear from or get into again...
Fast-forward a year...my friend asked me if I ever heard of incubus before. I told her I think I did and asked if they were the band that did Drive. It…

Incubus Heroes
I've said it many times before but it bears repeating here again. I believe that our Incubus fans are the greatest group of fans in the whole wide world. And I mean the whole wide world. This site has become a gathering point for our fans to meet, to interact, and to share their love of Incubus. But the fact is that long before the HQ there…

Didn't realize I could write blog posts. I'm not really sure how it works haha. I'm wondering right now whether anybody can read this or if it's exclusive to people I've invited. I guess either way it doesn't reall matter, anything I can say to peope I know I can say in front of total strangers, since nobody worth worrying over will judge a blog post anyway. The only thing I really have to blog about recently involves a bit of tradgedy, a bit of comedy, and a healthy dose of awkwardness.…

God Bless Ozzy Osbourne
Hi friends,
I wanted to let you all know that I will be in NY for the upcoming premier of a new film I just scored.
It's a documentary about Ozzy! As many of you know, Incubus has a long history with the Osbourne family.
We did 2 Ozzfest tours (in 1998, and again in 2000) as well as an opening slot for the original Black Sabbath in 1999.
I also arranged and produced Kelly Osbourne's original cover of Madonna's Papa Don't Preach around that…

When that tiny tingly feeling crawls up my feet, my legs towards my spine and throughout until my mind will be infiltrated with a wonderful light-heady nebula,
I know it’s back.
Inspiration once again grabbed me to work itself through me out into abundance and the ever moving, ever breathing, ever hauling universe.
It’s been the words that wanted to be twisted, shaken and rattled like the engine of an old German car to get into motion once…

Weekly Update #5 For Week of April 10 -17th
If I've learned one thing in business its that it takes a great team to make something great happen. And trying to do something great is a really big job. Bigger than any one person can handle at full speed. But it turns out that, quite by accident, I've found lots of new folks to join us and help us on Team Incubus. This past week we've all been buried under the pace of things as the band prepares the launch of their new album "If Not Now, When" on July 12th. And I've found that people…

Almost seven years. Almost seven Incubus years.
I was remembering of something these days. The day I've listened to Incubus for the first time. It was a long time ago, believe me.
I was only an eleven or twelve-year-old girl that time. I barely knew rock bands, only those who was making a huge success that time, such as Linkin Park, Evanescence and others. I clearly remebmber, I was watching MTV when it started. When my Incubus passion started. The chords began. Appeared the image of a television, where it clearly showed something…
