Excellent, Mindfullness-driven song.  This band continues to evolve in such a positive way with one of the best vocal presences we have today.

My name is Estefan Valadez, from Fresno, Ca.  I cant reference music without mentioning incubus.  I've been playing seriously for half of my life, and will continue to thrive for the rest of it.  If I were to be picked for Mike's clinic, I'd be quite smitten.

Ooga Booga

My name is Estefan Valadez. Im 22 and started playing music seriously when I was 12.  Incubus opened my eyes to worlds of music and inspiration beyond words. Being in the clinic would make me smitten.

fragile prayer

Dear God,

I don't know if you can hear me anymore, but I'm trying.

I'm having a hard time today.

I'm worried about my brother. I don't know if he is a sick as I think he is, but I'm praying to you that he is not. I'm hoping you will bring him clarity of sight and health of mind and body. Most of all, he needs a hard dose of reality that none of us can seem to give him. I sincerely hope that this illness is not that dose of reality, but I trust you. I need you to be… Continue

Properties of Life

I wrote the following poem with the thought in mind that if there were no barriers, no prevention of the exchange of good thoughts, no preconceived notions, no bias, no us/them attitude, then maybe we have a chance at preserving this world we live in. At first I wondered at how we use the unique properties of different matter; we use the properties of water to cool things down, we use the properties of titanium to strengthen things, we use rare earth for its magnetic properties, as a few…

What I’ll Talk About if I Ever Meet the Band or: Why I hate Asymmetrical Conversations

The following is an imagined dialogue between me and the members of the band Incubus. Picture if you will a lovely meet and greet setting back stage or at HQlive, and somehow I have the good fortune to speak to each of them. It might go something like this:

How are you Ben? Wow, I’ve seen some of your solo work lately, and man you can do it all. You’re a multi-instrumentalist? And a genius at writing and composing your work? So you’re basically a one-man-band on your own, huh? Oh,…

Happy B-day Mikey!!!

so mikey, what can i say about this member of the band? i can say that he is to me the best guitarrist ever in the world, sure, there is others more skilled or that can do insane crazy stuffs with the guitar like i dont know play the guitar and the yo-yo at the same time, but they  lack what mike has in abundance wich is talent and simplicity. Mike can take 3 easy basic chords and make a master song just with that and that for me is the best in the world. this talent and simplicity can be…

Weekly Update #14 for the Week of June 13th - June19th

This week was so busy in Incubus Land that it was over almost before it began!  A very many things happened this week, both on stage and off, and it’s been a challenge to keep up with it all.  Never fear, faithful Incubus fans, here is your Weekly Update: late, but never untimely.

On Monday, while the band flew to London for their first gig of the If Not Now, When? tour, Steve Rennie stayed behind to hold down the fort just long enough to remind fans that the RSVP… Continue

Why I'm a fan ...

I'm a fan (and you should be too) because ... listening to Incubus for the first time back in 2000 when I was 14 years old opened up my senses and mind to a completely different kind of band. I was hooked the second I heard them on that bus trip to San Antonio on my friend's discman. I remember that exact moment when I was instantly in awe of the notes and melodies burrowing into my ears and goosebumps ran up and down my extremities. "Drive", as many other fans know, was what pushed Incubus…
