Wow, I'm going to go through all my albums and make a huge list! The first album I ever bought at the age of 12 was John Barleycorn Must Die by Traffic, and I KNOW I still have it!

Have a TON of Vinyl (and a bunch of 8 tracks too - lol) but haven't had a turntable in almost 10 years.  Mostly ended in the early 80's but have a lot of stuff like Zeppelin, Ozzy, Rush, AC/DC, Queen, and The Kinks just to name a few.  Then started buying cassettes for a couple years until CD's came out..  I did continue to buy some vinyl up until the late 80's for the 12 inch remixes of a lot of stuff..

Had a lot of those K-Tel Superstars Compilation Records also! Anyone remember those????

Oh yeah and The Police...  Have all of their stuff on vinyl how could I have forgotten about them???  Oh yeah, I'm Over The Hill my memory's not so good!   What I would give to listen to Zenyatta Mondatta on vinyl right now....

OMG!  My husband and I have all of our vinyls. A couple hundred at least.  He has all of Pink Floyd, Genesis, Yes, which are his favorites, and so many more.  My tastes were a bit more mellow than his; John Denver, Jim Croce, Elton John (pre-rhinestone), Cat Stevens, Todd Rundgren, Peter Frampton--( well, not so mellow), Michael Jackson, classical albums, and other misc.  A few 45's; Neil Diamond, Smokey Robinson, Glen Campbell & others.  My daughter and her boyfriend collect misc. vinyls; he probably has more then we do.

I do remember the K-Tel collections. I was born right at the cusp of the baby boomer and gen-X eras, but I've always said, if you can remember K-Tel, Don Kirshner's Rock Concert, and Rula Lenska, you're a boomer. The first album I bought on vinyl (with my own money) was probably America's Greatest Hits, and when I saw them in concert, the tickets were $6.50. I thought about selling off some of my vinyl recently, but couldn't think of parting with the Yes Album or Led Zeppelin's Physical Graffiti. Or Carole King's Tapestry, for that matter. And how could I say goodbye to CSNY's Deja Vu or Steve Miller's Fly Like an Eagle (both of which I got for my 13th birthday), or Renaissance's Ashes are Burning? I've got lots of 45s, too - Kinks, Cream, Jefferson Airplane, the Guess Who, and even some Herman's Hermits. I used to have a 45 of Monster Mash, but I probably lent it to someone for Halloween. I can't find my 45 of Randy Newman's Short People either, but I do still have Steve Martin's King Tut. While I don't really miss the scratches, skips, and warping of vinyl records, their large album covers are so much better for appreciating the album art. Fortunately, there are people like Jack White, who are keeping vinyl alive: http://bit.ly/9Tm68y

Thanks Vicky for the, Jack White article, very interesting reading.

My own collection, LP's & 7" 12" singles runs into the hundreds.

Have any of you got Incubus on Vinyl ?

I don't own any incubus vinyls yet.  We don't have a turntable anymore, so I haven't wanted to invest in any.  I was actually hoping I might score a vinyl INNW, from the HQ tent, but tent didn't happen, so...........

[ I love Jack White (and the former White Stripes)]

I was at the HQ tent with Cisco at the show at SPAC,  I got to hold the signed INNW? vinyl in my hands (sigh) while they were asking trivia questions to the person who won it! I did unearth my turntable yesterday, had an inch of dust on it, and the needle is still in tact, I may just have get it going!

It's been so long since I looked at them, but I have Meet the Monkees, and one other album, forgot the name. lol  How about Jose Feliciano, woohoo!

Vinyl is alive and well. I loved watching DJ Kilmore at the concert on Saturday.  Look what the Make Yourself Foundation donated...

Check out this Vinyl.....

Couldn't bear to part with my vinyl which dates back to the Monkees, and still listen to my 695 lp collection. That's a lot of memories! Add to it from time to time, an oldie here and there or a single that's only released this way.
