Permalink Reply by Graham Hudson on November 27, 2011 at 4:10pm I think my first gig was Mott the Hoople in around 1970. Probably at St Georges Hall, Bradford. I saw Genesis with Peter Gabrial there too in the early 70s. They were gigging the Foxtrot album and were 3rd on the bill. Lindisfarne topped it. I saw Yes, Gentle Giant, Greenslade, Wishbone Ash, Deep Purple and Hawkwind too. I think tickets were around £2. The same as an album. Now I share my money between Incubus 3 times this year and The South (formerly Beautiful South) who I hope to see twice this next weekend bringing up 4 in the year. But i see loads of local bands at pubs free of charge. i also follow Incufriends bands such as Virgin Soldiers. I recommend them and Bad Pollyanna as different and up and coming! I love innovative and thought provoking music and lyrics. I also like to bounce a lot! ;-)
