TRAVEL AND ACCOMODATION PLANS FOR LONDON FORUM
As the date gets nearer... more people seem to be coming into the chat and mentioning stretching their wallets and breaking their piggy banks to get to this gig! So i thought it would be valuable to start a discussion so that when people have their golden tickets to the chocolate factory aka 'An evening with Incubus'... you could all organize car pools, hostel / hotel rooms, or even London based fans could offer their sofa for the night! To try save all the remaining pennies for some awesome merch that may be coming our way!
Last time i went to London i ended up staying in a place called the County Hotel, which is located down the road from Euston Station, opposite the Hilton Hotel. Euston station is one of the main links to UK rail travel, and also is located on the Northern line of the London Tube Network. Not far from tourist attractions if you are also going to have some kodak moments whilst in the big smoke. Its basically a glorified hostel but you have your own room. The rooms are clean, got a tv, sink and kettle... you just share bathrooms and showers. You can even get breakfast in the morning. For a cheap place to stay i would recommend it, as usually just the word London increases the price of a room ridiculously.
Another idea for the more adventurous individual is Couch Surfing. An awesome concept... of where strangers all over the world offer up their sofa for people to stay on. Sometimes even a bed. I have done it in LA and it was an awesome way to meet people. Check it Out.

Love this Jenn. Have you decided what your plans for accommodation are yet? Perhaps if enough of us decide to stay in the same place we could get like a group discount?

I'm hoping to travel and stay North of the venue near the Northern line so can get a tube into the Forum. I'll probably try to make it two full days so I can get value for money and don't have to get up early! I expect a long night with all my new found Incubian friends!!

Nope still havent decided what I'm doing yet. Really dont know whether i want to stay at one of my mates places or not. I get there Monday afternoon so will probably stay at a friends Monday night, but Tuesday i kind of just want to roll with it ahaha. If it gets pretty late then ill just go to that County Hotel so I'm near Euston for when i leave on the Wednesday. Depends what mood Im in and if i feel i want to party!! ahaha .... My main aim was to just get cheap train tickets, and I've got them :-) ... but yeah if a load of people want in im sure places would give a group discount!!

Nice thread Jenn. I'm planning to go to the concert. And I was planning to spend the night on the airport floor because just like you said "the word London increases the price of a room ridiculously".
But if there's something cheap and nice, I would think twice. -
