I think the band members are pretty friendly.  When I was at an HQ concert, Mike's crew person and I were talking and he said they don't usually have security, just crew with them that tell them when to move on because the guys would sign autographs forever.  The MYF thing is more formalized and it really depends on the number of people they are meeting and the way the meet and greet venue is set up.  We were allowed to bring in anything to the meet and greet and the venue as well when I went.  Unfortunately, I didn't know this and didn't have a decent camera with me.

awww. i dont want a group pic! no offense. my sister did a 311 cruise and everyone gets a photo (with people of your choice included in the photo i think??) with the band! damn i would LOVE an incubus cruise!!! 

 

hm.. we'll i will totally check into it and save my pretty pennies. im VERY jealous of ur brandon kiss btw!!! lol. and if i get a meet and greet. im def gettin hugs!!!

I was one of the people that agreed with you.. lol.I was so excited to see the pictures and my heart sank when I saw them.. I wish for the money they let us take individual photos with the band.

yeaaaa, forgot to mention how horrible the group photo was! they used a cheapie point and shoot! i brought it up to jake on the myf site and others agreed with me. some people even recommended better cameras to use for next time. i hope they actually upgraded their camera because seriously, it was BAD! and for all the money you pay, you want to at least have a nice picture to remind you of it.

Jake, who is in charge of MYF auctions said that the format for Smokeout meet n greet was how they would all be done..

I also did meet and greet at smokeout..
The $600.00 was for 2 people.. Although it was cool it was very impersonal.
Actually, the HQ live in L.A. Was a more personal experience.. The pictures from the meet n greet were bad, everyone had red eyes.. But it is still great.
It's not a very one on one experience though

I did the meet and greet for smokeout as well and paid around $500. security was very tight, you couldnt have your phones or personal cameras out. you just waited in line until it was your turn to meet the guys who were sitting behind a table. you took turns with each band member, getting them to sign whatever item you brought and chit chatted a little until you moved down to the next guy. most people shake their hands but i didnt pay so much money just to get a handshake lol. i made sure to get hugs! the band was super friendly. afterwards, you take a group picture of 10 people with the band. if youre sneaky and quick, you can ask for an individual picture afterward. instead i just went in for more hugs haha (fan girl moment: brandon kissed me on the cheek haha). i thought the $500+ was worth it since i didnt think id have any other chance of meeting them and because you get 2 tickets to the show, plus a photograph and a little MYF souvenir. the only thing that sucked about smokeout was that because it was a festival, you didnt get to be in the venue before everyone else so i didnt end up standing as close to the front as i would have liked to during incubus' performance.
