When did you first become aware/ hear of Incubus?

For me it was an ex boyfriend who first had me truly listen to Incubus four years ago. I wasn't much into rock music, but heard a song here and there. As we spent more and more time together, I got more and more itno Incubus. One of 2 great gifts my ex has given me. Lovez it!

You know what's funny? Your last phrase is how I've been living my life as of late, and the more I do, the more I get into Incubus.

i first got into them from a friend of mine when i was like a frosh or soph in hs somewhere from 98-2000. i was hooked on make yourself and when morning view came out i pretty much knew i was in it for the long haul lol. i was a total metalhead then and still like some metal but incubus really opened my eyes and ears into something more. so much so that it spawned off to other bands similar and not, but not heavy metal like. 311, afi, chevelle, linkin park, etc. i first saw them on the last traveling lollapalooza in 2003 in chicago along with audioslave and queens of the stone age. ben had just joined and they played megalomaniac as their 'new and unfinished' song at the time lol. im very happy to say that they changed me for the better and ill never look back. my entire left arm is nothing but a giant incubus collage of tattoos now lol......dont ever let life pass you by.......
Yeah, I'd say Morning View is my current fave. It changes from time to time. Aqueous Transmission is my current fave song, but I'm slowly gravitating more and more to Are you in.... Must be the Summer vibe to it. Have a great day!

This was around 2001, 2002. I was about 7 or 8 years old and I was on a family roadtrip with my parents, older brother and 2 sisters. My brother brought his discman along and he had a mix CD of some of his current favourite songs. Trying to endure the painstakingly long drive I begged my brother to let me listen to his discman just one time. He reluctantly agreed. I started listening to the first couple tracks and nothing piqued my interest. I started flying through every track trying to find at least one song that I liked. Flipped to the next track...BAM! "A Certain Shade of Green". That opening riff had me hooked right away, in fact, I remember restarting the track every 10 seconds just to hear that opening riff over and over and over again! My brother said something like, "You know, you're gonna wear that song out and get sick of it if you keep listening to it like that". XD

He realized I really liked Incubus, so he bought me Morning View for my birthday the next year. To this day it remains my all-time favourite album, by my all-time favourite band :)

It changes a lot for me too but I always seem to go back to MV.. It just has this feel to it. It's a testament to their music when I can say that my current favorites are Just a Phase, Circles and then Nebula. 3 songs I've heard well over 500 times on records that came out 9 and 13 years ago respectively. And my favorites are ALWAYS changing :)

All through Halo 2. I first heard of them when I bought the Halo 2 soundtracks.
