Someone has leaked "If Not Now, When?" .... How do you guys feel about that
I for one think that not only has leaking the album ruined the anticipation to its release date, but it may also have an affect on the release of new singles, album art, etc. What do you guys think? How do you think it happened?
I have not seen anyone make a post about this so please do not be angry with me if someone has.

Its very frustrating to hear that someone has leaked the album. First, most of us can agree, that we want to get our hands on it, so we're all jealous. After all, we all love this band and the music they make. Second, from being in a local band, I know first hand how hard it is to make a living off of selling music. For someone to leak an entire record, that is not intended to be just passed around for free, is a slap in the face to our musical heroes! As long as we can keep it off of YouTube and various other free media sites, I think the first single, this band, and the millions of people who love their music are no match for the selfish actions of a few.

Exactly! What I don't understand is how it could have happened. How many people could have even had access to the record? At least, as you said, it is being monitored and kept off of Youtube. But people will get desperate eventually, which is why it needs to be removed completely.

Unfortunately when an album leaks, there's a 0% chance that it'll ever get off the internet completely. It happens to almost every musician/band nowadays though. Radiohead's approach is probably the best action to take at this point. Release it digitally now, but keep the physical release as scheduled. Perhaps create a "special edition" to give them incentive to buy it.
What bugs me are the people on here who have stolen it and then taken to the boards to tear it apart. Sure there are positive & negative reviews, but the ones that have massive complaints really irk me. They boil down to:
"I stole the album, and it sucks! Ugh, 5 years and this is what we get?"
As if they have some sense of entitlement to it.

I couldn't agree more, Mista Jeff!!! I hate these assholes who have given bad reviews on an unfinished product. Personally, I'm upset this happened because now I'm sorely tempted to go find it on the internet somewhere...I've already preordered, so it's not like they'd be losing a sale. But for me, it's the principle...when I listen to an Incubus album, or even just one song for the first time, it's something of a religious experience and I know it will be tainted if I listen in a way that is not condoned by Brandon and the rest...so I think I'll refrain.

I heard the leaked album at a friends house, I still pre-ordered it. I have purchased a physical copy of every CD and DVD that Incubus has ever released. I really wish it didn't get leaked, who ever did it should go to jail, but at the same time it's new Incubus!!! I had to hear it and it is nothing short of EPIC, utterly amazing. Kudos to those who are waiting but I couldn't. It was a tough decision but at the end of the day I love this band too much to keep waiting.

I heard it, my friend gave it to me on a thumb drive as a suprise. I'm still buying it. However, it was not nearly as good as previous albums. to me, it seemed rushed. I still really enjoy half the songs at least, but a few aren't worth listening to. I'm dissapointed, but won't stop listening to the greatest band ever.
