"Invite Only Performances by Incubus" at HQLive -How To Qualify
Incubus is planning a week of events here in Los Angeles to celebrate the release of their new album "If Not Now, When?". And all kinds of things are going to be happening, from chats with the band, musician's clinics, behind the scenes look at the tour prep, and most of all some very special performances from the band from June 30-July 6...Six performances in all and all of it is going to be broadcast live on the internet. But for a lucky few, you can be part of the live in studio audience. Only 75 people can attend each performance so these invites will be highly in demand. Tickets are not being sold for these events. Its invite only and we can't figure out who to invite. That's where you come in. Give us some ideas of how we can pick the list. Think out of the box and think about how we can give everybody who'd like to be there a fair shot. Think about how we can involve fans not just from LA but also Incubus fans in the US and internationally as well. We will be keeping an eye out for great ideas and look forward to seeing the most deserving fans sitting on the couch that week.

There will be a raffle every hour on the day you go to HQ. Only like 5 people will be chosen to return that same night to see the band perform. So you're guaranteed entrance to HQ but you have to be picked in the raffle to see the band perform. They might pick more people, idk. I know this is for sure cause I asked Lauren on saturday at the secret show. Just thought this might help =)

sarah, i actually think they'll be drawing less names than you've counted :( lauren said she believes each name drawn can bring 1 friend to the private show. that means if 70ish people can attend the show, only 35 names will be drawn :(

ohh hmmm I guess we never figured that, when LC was talking today we were counting it as a 1/7 chance after our path problem was worded out hahaha... everything along with the factor of bringing a friend is still up in the air as far as I know, so I guess we will see. I hope it is a ticket+1(friend) kinda deal.

See that's what I thought too Sarah. That whoever attended the clinic would be eligible to come back later that night to see Incubus perform.
Ugh, I'm so confused. I hope Lauren or Ren will make an official post about this so we can be clear on everything :)

And I have heard that as it stands they are doing one appointment for each fan able to attend, so that everyone may get a chance to see this amazing place. Everything I have heard is always subject to ROCK change. hehe

Hahahaha.. well what are you confused on? you have it right, the names of those that attend HQ that day will be raffled for spots to the show that night, So attending HQ gives you the chance to see the Band perform later after hours! This is the best/fair idea I think for those that are willing to get to LA for this amazing oppertunity! yayy! When are you planning to go marisa?

@Sarahh -- I meant nope to Marisa's comment that one is not automatically eligible as in guaranteed to win, I was just trying to clarify that they have a chance to win the opportunity for the private performance but just because they enter a time to visit the HQ doesn't mean they will automatically get to come back for the intimate show that night.

If I'm chosen and if it's a ticket +1 kind of a deal I think I'd rather take a fan instead of my best friend. We enjoy each others company but when I brought her along to a MYF meet and greet there were some awkward moments. We are very good friends but our tastes differ in two things, men and music. Ha Ha!
Brandon - "Hi, have we met before?"
Her - "Nah"
Brandon - "Oh, It's just that you look familiar and..."
Her - "No, we haven't met."
Then she just looked at him like he was stupid or rude or something! I was so embarrassed. I adore her but, never will I bring her along again.

hahahah wow camille, funny story. I understand wanting to take and incubus fan too... I am getting my CO friend to come out so we can see this together, but now it says HQ slots are all FULL!! ohh no!!! thats crazy tho.. "nah" what day are you goin?

@Camille, I had the same dilemma, my best friend doesn't like Incubus at all, but she introduced me to her co-worker Jac who is a huge fan like I am, so she's been my partner in crime for the last 3 years. She's the only one who will commute with me to Incubus shows.
Along with the Hollywood Bowl, we're also going to the Santa Barbara & Vegas shows as well on this tour :)
