Ren suggested we start a thread discussing support bands for the upcoming world tour!! Who would you all like to see open for Incubus? Who deserves the shot?!
Let's hear your responses folks!!
I think Liam Finn might be a perfect candidate. He's got a new album coming out..no tour dates as of yet. He's a bit experimental.A bit pop, a bit folk.A great songwriter and he's from Auckland New Zealand.

If not that, then one band I'd suggest is Kiev. http://www.facebook.com/kievtheband Check them out, they're an up and coming band, and have a great vibe.
Permalink Reply by David デヴィッド on May 1, 2011 at 9:04am Sondre Lerche is about to release a new album and I think his music could make a match to support Incubus. For those who don't remember him, he did the fantastic soundtrack for the movie Dan In Real Life with Steve Carell. Here's his brand new single:

Permalink Reply by Pete Newman (Pro Kenney Fan) on May 1, 2011 at 10:05am There is a band here in Texas, Vinyl Dharma, that has been on MTV a couple times, but hasn't quite 'made' it yet even though they have tried. They are all from Austin, Texas. They are more of an electronic sound, but they are all very talented and I think they would be able to play a good show for you.

This is Biffy Clyro, great Scottish Band (won this year's NME award for Best Live Band). They play real rock and are extremely good live (I've seen them twice so I'm not cheating).
They were supporting Muse and Cage The Elephant, they were also invited to support Foo Fighters.
It would be great to hear them warming up the audience before Incubus!
What is more, their last performance is booked for August 26th, so they have no plans for this fall - sounds perfect for Incubus European shows!
For more information, you can check their official website.

Permalink Reply by Evelien Jaspers on May 1, 2011 at 2:20pm One band immediately came to mind for me, it's a Dutch band and they're called 'Kensington'. They are very energetic and really have a chemistry between the bandmembers on stage! They are SO good live and are only just breaking through here in the Netherlands. They are one of the nicest guys you'll ever meet who have worked very hard to get to where they are. They have a record out, it's called Borders.
Their website is www.kensingtonband.com
See if you like them! :)
