Ren suggested we start a thread discussing support bands for the upcoming world tour!! Who would you all like to see open for Incubus? Who deserves the shot?!

 Let's hear your responses folks!!

I think Liam Finn might be a perfect candidate. He's got a new album coming out..no tour dates as of yet. He's a bit experimental.A bit pop, a bit folk.A great songwriter and he's from Auckland New Zealand.

Minus the Bear is pretty rad :)
from what I've heard there might be a special opener at red rocks...still unsure of that as of right now. I would love for it to be on the rest of the tour and not just red rocks!!
THAT WOULD BE AN EPIC COMBO!

I think Jimmy Eat World would be a GREAT support group. Similar yet different styles. I think it would become a GREAT tour with them.

Animal Collective might be an interesting combo.

I saw Animal Collective at Lollapalooza in 09.They were ok.I don't necessarily think they'd be a good opener for incubus..and as of right now I'm sure they could fill up their own tour.

Hi Ren,

If you still haven't found a support band for Manila, I hope you consider this amazing band called MALAY.

Even though they are unsigned, an indie band, they compose amazing music. And would you believe, their front man is actually a a lawyer who managed to take law school, pass the bar exams, and make a music career? As far as I know, he is also practicing Law right now, which of course is still somehow in line with the music biz. :)

I seriously believe they have the craft to move forward in being an Incubus support band. The music and lyrical content is very meaningful. Plus, they're a huge incubus follow too (hope that helps). :)

I hope you consider them to be a front act in Manila. :)

This one is called, "December" by MALAY

"Dream of me

Dream about me some more

Tell me stories

You've made mention before

Our rendezvous in the cold

Isn't that story enough to be told?"

Check this out, MOVING by MALAY:

"Youthful ignorance
And the birth of consciousness
Sacred Innocence
And broken promises
Moving far away from here

Moving far away from me"

If Incubus make a stop in Scandinavia, the Swedish band Limitbreak would be a pretty good match.

Limitbreak is an explosive, funky arena-rock endeavor, pursuing a common dream while seeking to inspire others to follow theirs. We pride ourselves dynamic live performances, a slightly more positive vibe, as well as an honest love for music.

End of Fashion for the Australian leg of the tour.
I'm not even from Australia but I fell in love with these guys and they have a similar style to Incubus, so I think they could really benefit from being given the opportunity to open for the guys. Although, I'm sure most Aussies would have already heard of them as they have had countless radio hits over there, so maybe bringing them back to N.A.

MANDO DIAO

How about Foster the people?

alexis - don't know where you are from, but in europe mando diao are - at the moment - probably better known and more visible than incubus. so while i would defenitely enjoy seeing mando and incubus playing on one evening, i doubt that mando diao would agree to support incubus.
