Ren suggested we start a thread discussing support bands for the upcoming world tour!! Who would you all like to see open for Incubus? Who deserves the shot?!
Let's hear your responses folks!!
I think Liam Finn might be a perfect candidate. He's got a new album coming out..no tour dates as of yet. He's a bit experimental.A bit pop, a bit folk.A great songwriter and he's from Auckland New Zealand.

Permalink Reply by Jon Bonham on June 3, 2011 at 8:20pm I think Jimmy Eat World would be a GREAT support group. Similar yet different styles. I think it would become a GREAT tour with them.
Animal Collective might be an interesting combo.

If you still haven't found a support band for Manila, I hope you consider this amazing band called MALAY.
Even though they are unsigned, an indie band, they compose amazing music. And would you believe, their front man is actually a a lawyer who managed to take law school, pass the bar exams, and make a music career? As far as I know, he is also practicing Law right now, which of course is still somehow in line with the music biz. :)
I seriously believe they have the craft to move forward in being an Incubus support band. The music and lyrical content is very meaningful. Plus, they're a huge incubus follow too (hope that helps). :)
I hope you consider them to be a front act in Manila. :)
This one is called, "December" by MALAY
"Dream of me
Dream about me some more
Tell me stories
You've made mention before
Our rendezvous in the cold
Isn't that story enough to be told?"
Check this out, MOVING by MALAY:
"Youthful ignorance
And the birth of consciousness
Sacred Innocence
And broken promises
Moving far away from here
Moving far away from me"
