Tell about your first Incubus concert and why you decided it wasn't the last. Or what do you expect of your first Incubus concert.

Mine was in 2008, I was 17 (going 18 on August) and I told my dad that my first concert was sacred that it had to be one of my favorite bands which was at the time: Pearl Jam, Green Day (old stuff), and of course Incubus. I couldn't go to the first concert of 2005 of Incubus so you could imagine the happiness I felt when I read that they were going to come back to Venezuela. To be my first concert ever was beyond amazing, that day I decided that was an experience I wanted to live again and again, so I made a tradition to at least go to a live concert each year. I knew I enjoyed so much I had to see them again to repair the damage of missing the first concert here. It was summer of 2009 when my dad told me "we are going to USA!!" with a weird dance he did..... That was a huge awesome birthday gift from them but I always check for bands tours whenever we are planning to travel. August 25th is my birthday and well after checking for that day a concert I came across to a really awesome band playing in Dallas, Texas August 22nd of 2009 :) I scream, I thank, I run, I shake, I jump, then i took a breath, and spend like 120 $ on two tickets to see Incubus in a foreign country. That day I considered myself a true Incubus fan and made a fan out of my dad.

Oh yeah something I notice on that trip, a Venezuelan will be a Venezuelan where ever you put him/her. After the Dallas concert I told my dad that I needed a souvenir, I saw this t-shirt with Brandon's artwork which I felt in love with so we go buy it but we cut in line, like we make our own line. It was so natural to us to do that, we even notice afterwards haha but being true to my roots gave me the last t-shirt with  that design. Really happy our criollo was out and proud that night :D

Both concerts mark a new phase in my life thats why I wont stop going to Incubus concert and because they are such a great band and really cool with their fans. So thank you, Incubus and of course Ren :)

So I will never forget April 16th 2008 nor August 22nd 2009, how about you?

Marianne - What an experience, that's awesome!

Mine was in 2001(I think?) in Seattle, WA at a small club that has long since closed. This is where my Incubus obsession began. Forgive my terrible memory, but this was either before, or right after Morning View was released. I was a HUGE fan of the Make Yourself album, but they weren't quite my favorite band yet. I had luckily won tickets to the on the local radio station 107.7 The End, or else I never would have gone to this show. I just remember being blown away by the band and their performance and was shocked at how well it sounded even though this place was incredibly small. It was one of those venues where if you were in the front of the crowd, you weren't getting out until the show was over and that's exactly what happened to me. I was front and center, staring up at Brandon, so happy to be there. I left the show that night with a new favorite band, and I knew I wouldn't miss another show when they came my way again. I've seen almost every show they have played in Washington since then (with the exception of one in Spokane I believe) and plan on going to the next! I would love to see one in a different country like you Marianne, that would be amazing! Maybe this upcoming tour :)

First show was in 2009 in Dallas. My fiance and I went together. A little background: Incubus has been our favorite band for years upon years. We drove 6 hours to Dallas and then stood in line for 7 hours. We were the first people in line and it was totally worth it. We ran to the front after finding out that the entrance we sat at for hours wasn't even the main entrance but we ended up on the gate in the front row and the entire show was amazing. Best concert, best experience I've ever had. We ARE going to the next tour and are checking EVERYDAY for tour dates! We can't wait!

The first time I ever saw Incubus was when they did the Lollapalooza tour in 2003. It was a surprise 15th birthday present from my mom for me, my friend and fellow Incubus fanatic, and my mom to go. Needless to say, it blew me away. We were not even close to the stage, yet I could feel the energy coming from their music as if I was right next to the stage. After that concert (which I got a t-shirt from that I still wear to this day!), every time Incubus came to town, I was there at 10 am or whenever tickets went on sale to be one of the first to buy tickets. Since then I've seen them 3 other times (total of 4 times), last time being for the Monuments and Melodies tour. I was so lucky to get two of the few floor tickets for the show! This was such a contrast to the first concert, where I had to watch them from a TV screen. My profile pic is a picture I took at the last show.. I was so close!

Incubus concerts are really like none other, and I'm glad you got to experience the same feeling that I did! It's indescribable! Hopefully there are many more to come! Thanks!!

First concert was the Crow Left of the Murder Tour back in 05 I believe.  It was at Madison Square Garden in NYC and I was incredibly stoked.  Incubus had been my favorite band since 1999 when I was in college.  I missed a few shows before this one so I was determined to make sure I went.  The experience was like no other!  They sounded just as they did on the CD and I was amazed.  After that I said I would go to at least one show whenever they played NYC.  Since then I've seen them in 2007 for the Light Grenades tour and 2009 for the Monuments and Melodies tour.  Each time was a different venue and it fight the album they were promoting perfectly.
First saw them in 2002... twice that year, once in Cleveland and then in my hometown (Pittsburgh). I think I've seen them a total of 6 times... why the first time wasn't the last? Because I didn't get to meet them! That didn't come until 2007... very gracious lads, they are, they seem really genuinely happy to talk to their fans :)
Mine was at lollapooloza (2003?) in irvine. They were already my favorite band, but that live show would solidify them as my favorite band for life. Since then I've seen every show they've played in between (and including) santa barbara and san diego (including echoplex show and festivals), and a couple other stray shows. I've prob seen them 20+ times, I would only do this for two other bands... faith no more and split enz. Seeing incubus live is just an experience I can't miss

My first Incubus' concert was:

4th may 2004 in Milan (Italy) and I was 21 years old.

I knew and listened the band from 2001, I loved Make Yorself and Morning View.

So, in the afternoon, me and my boyfriend departed from turin to go to milan, far away 200 km.

The show was great, and I was so excited!

so people urged, inside the club was very hot and I almost fainted....so I went for a drink and and regained consciousness! :)

at return I quarreled with my boyfriend because he was jealous and saying stupid things about the band. (so, 2 years later we broken)

After this, I saw another 2 show (in 2005 and 2007) and now I prepare for the next, in berlin! :) only with my incu-friends!!! :)

My first Incubus concert was in 2004 and I was just about to turn 13. I don't remember which tour it was, but I'm pretty sure it was ACLOTM. I took three other friends with me who were also the same age, except my cousin, and the seats were shitty but I had the best time of my life. I looked like the biggest nerd ever. I was still going through my awkward phase and I had to wear my moms glasses because my eye sight was horrible and there was no way I would be able to see the boys play without them. So picture this, a 12 yr old sitting in the nosebleed section with her friends and I'm screaming my head off every moment I get to show the world that I was the biggest fan. I can't imagine how annoying I was. Anyways I had the time of my life and the part that gets me the most is when Brandon took off his shirt. I started screaming because the other girls were screaming but I didn't know why until my cousin told me he took off his shirt and I threw on my moms dorky looking glasses with my hair pulled back and I screamed my fuckin' head off. hahaha It was pretty great. Luckily it wasn't my last concert and I will be revisiting this childhood memory in Santa Barbara.

Lollapalooza 2002! With Jane's Addiction and A Perfect Circle...

it was pretty epic. I was just getting into Incubus, and went with my friend who was a HUGE fan. thrived off of her energy, and really fell in love when I saw them do the Nowhere Fast/X-French Tee Shirt mashup. I'm a singer, and harmonies are my drug of choice...so from then I was hooked. I saw them for REAL for the first time at the warfield in SF, which was truly a religious experience. I was a huge fan at that point, and that space is so intimate, there is no bad "seat." it was amazing. since then, I've seen them at the greek in berkeley and at smokeout down south, both at huge huge huge spaces. I hope they come to the north bay/bay area and play a few shows at a small venue again, because you really can't beat that experience.

My first Incubus concert (and first concert in general) was in February of 2007 in Chicago at The Riviera and it was amazing. I was 15 and I went with my aunt who was 26. It was snowing like crazy and the drive was tough but we made it and got in a little before Incubus got on stage. The floor was full so they weren't going to let anybody else down there but my aunt told the security guard that it was my first concert and that it was my birthday (even though it wasn't) so he let us down there. I can't even fully explain how amazing that night was. I actually wrote my college acceptance essay on it. This next one in Austin will be my 5th Incubus concert and I couldn't be more excited!
My first Incubus concert was in 2007, during the Light Granades World Tour, and it was also my first concert ever. I was 14 and I went with my mum. who knew Incubus thanks to me and liked them but wasn't so sure about going to a rock concert, so I even payed her ticket to convince her. They were already my favourite band but that show made me love them even more! I remember that when I arrived to the club it wasn't already full so I managed to get to the (extreme) left of the front row. It was really a great night, can't explain it! I still don't know when will be the next but I hope soon, I've been waiting for 4 years for another one!
My first show was in 2003 at Lollapalooza in Phoenix,Az. We drove from Vegas to be there. That was an almighty lineup. Although after Audioslave we packed it up and headed out. We were so drained from all the amazing music that day. Unfortunately it would be another four years before I saw them again. January of 07 of the Light Grenades tour. The Lollapalooza show was a mere stepping stone. The Light Grenades tour was where I really fell in love with them. The stage presence, the setlist..everything. You could watch live dvd's of them, but it really isn't the same unless you are there. I remember just watching them play at the 03 lolla show and was just in wondrous amazement of how one band can take you away. I will never forget that day and I look forward to sharing an Incubus show with you whether it be your first time or your 50th!!
