So I'm curious.  How many other people out here in the great wide Incubus network have families of their own?  I don't mean who live with their parents, but I mean who are in a situation like me, married, have kids, that sort of thing.  How does being an Incufan, as it were, factor in for you guys?

I'm married, no kids yet.  For me, I really REALLY got into Incubus a couple of years after we were married, so my husband has been along for the ride...he came to both concerts with me in '09 and enjoyed them a lot, though I've only recently caught him listening to their CDs all on his own :)

He had confessed that even though he had fun at the concerts, he was going a bit crazy because every time he'd get in the car with me, for the better part of that year, I'd be playing Incubus :P  I guess I should have picked up on that, because every time would go somewhere and he managed to get in the car before me, the radio would be on instead of any one of the 6 Incubus CDs that had been playing earlier when I had been driving...

We're in a better place now :)

And we're definitely seeing them this summer.

How is it for you?

I try to keep it on the down low, mostly.  My husband is a little ...intimidated, I think, by how much of a fan I am, and he makes horrible jokes about me running off to stalk the streets of Venice but I think he's worried I might actually try it.  Mostly though 'cause I have a toddler I can't just drop everything and go to things I used to make it to.  I won't get to go to the Hurley thing, for example, and I have to make sure I have a babysitter so sometimes the really last-minute things are beyond me.  Which makes me sad!  But..eh.  Family has to come first, right?

I definitely do get to the place where my husband is like "can we listen to SOMEONE OTHER THAN INCUBUS" though, and I have to take someone else to concerts 'cause for some reason he's a freak and hates live music (????).

I do not even have a GF! so I can't relate! but I love my nephews
Yea, i guess having a kid would make it more challenging.  I just have a dog, so for one of the concerts we left him with a friend...the other one we left him at home and discovered he is not to be trusted...

Meeeee!!!  Have two kiddies, a girl who is 5 and a boy who is 3.  They sing along to all my music, including Incubus.  Melts my heart.

Actually, my son was at an incubus concert when I was about 30 weeks pregnant!

I used to sing Incubus songs to my daughter as a baby to help her go to sleep lol.
Haha!  I went to see End.>Vacuum when I was about 5 mos pregnant with my son.  He seems to be incredibly musical (he sings, he dances, he drums on EVERYTHING) and I like to blame it on Mike's symphony.

I'm an Incu-mom : )  (son 36, daughters 26 & 24) My younger daughter was in newspaper in high school & a classmate lent her Morning View.  I listened to it & said...who ARE these guys???  I listened to all their albums & chose my favorite songs from each & she made me a mix cd.  We saw them in Anaheim in 2004 & I have seen them each tour, 7 times altogether I think.  I go to as many shows as I can when they play in So Cal.

Well, I'm married and have four kids, all boys, and they all love Incubus, especially my 1 1/2 yr old, I put on Megalomaniac and he starts headbanging, it's great lol. He actually cries and tries to turn my dvd player on just so he can watch Alive at Red Rocks-no kidding. My husband, a guitar player, also seems a little intimidated by just how much I love this band and their music, but he has been learning some of their music for me, which I think is pretty cool, and besides, all he ever EVER listens to is Megadeth. I was raised by a musician and dj, went to my first concert when I was a whole two weeks old, so music is in my blood, I rarely watch tv but always have music on, and most of the time it's Incubus, they're the soundtrack to my day :)

i try to incubus-isize all my friends and people who know!!! :D
Another reason I'm glad I'm here!  I've never 'met' another incu-mom near my age who is as big a fan as I am!  I have a daughter, 24 and son, almost 23.  But they didn't introduce me to them.  I heard 'Drive' on the radio and was floored.  My niece had the cd and burned my a copy and they've been burned into my brain ever since (2000)!  I've been to 5 of their concerts in No. Cal.  Now my daughter has found the way and likes them too, (not as much as I do) so she's said she is definately down for the upcoming tour! YAY!

that's so great! my younger daughter & I went to the first few concerts together; since then, friends have gone with me...but it's definitely very nice to have that bonding with the kiddo : )  she & her sister have actually moved to No Cal so I don't know if she will go to any shows with me this year.  but even my manager who is decades younger than me wants to go with me next time, also my cousin's daughter who went to the last San Diego show with us.  I try to hit every show in So Cal when they play because seeing Incubus live is one of my favorite things in life.
