Anyone catch what Mike is playing on for this record?

So my name is Brandon and I have a problem... I am a gear head. Haha, Jokes aside, has anyone heard what all Mike used to record this album? He said he used a Squire Tele for a lot of the guitars. He pulled out a PRS, and his Mesa's for the Adolescents video, but what's in a music video doesn't mean anything at all! Its always fun to find out what the musical geniuses use to record and dazzle the world with.

He used the squier telecaster for the entire record (with standard pick ups). he used a vox ac30 for most of the record, also he used an small fender champ. pedal effects the only one he answered to me was a dunlop crybaby. that's all the info I know.
PD: ben couldn't believe when saw mike bringing the squier to the studio.
The single sounded very stripped down. Almost like Mike decided to forgo his never ending fx chain. It does make me curious though, is the Squire Tele just the guitar he picked up for it or is it an endorsement deal or something? He might be more open about pedals after the release, lol. Don't wanna spoil any odd spacey sounds we haven't ever heard yet! Yeah, I'm totally with Ben on that one. I couldn't believe what I was reading when I first saw it. BUT at the same time, it will certainly show how remarkable of a musician he is.

If he's using a squire tele it might be one of the new ones, the "classic" series. Those are remarkably decent. I'm sure they reworked whatever guitar he is playing on though.

The classic series is pretty good for lower end stuff. Someone suggested to me that Squire's tend to have a very raw sound. Remembering back to my Squire Strat, this is totally true. So maybe its for that unrefined, raw, "ugly" (if you will) sound that can only come from lower end gear. It would be interesting to find out what his thoughts actually are.

Here's a pretty cool interview he did with UG. He doesn't normally like talking gear, but he does a little for this interview.
